At a glance — what Morpheus reads
Morpheus can read these daily lifestyle data types from connected platforms:
Daily sleep quantity (hh:mm)
Daily steps
Daily calories burned
Daily distance (via steps)
Supported connections: Apple Health (iOS), Google Health Connect (Android), Garmin, Fitbit.
If your tracker can write to Apple Health or Health Connect, Morpheus can usually receive that data too.
Although not required to use Morpheus effectively, if you currently own an activity or sleep tracking device, go ahead and set up your tracking properly to give Morpheus the most accurate picture of your daily stress load.
Quick checklist — make sure your data appears in Morpheus
In the Morpheus app go to Menu → Settings → Tracking Settings and choose your platform (Apple Health / Health Connect / Garmin / Fitbit) then SAVE. If you cannot track or prefer not to track your daily sleep or steps, you can select "none" or "manual" from the list.
Sync your wearable with its native app before opening Morpheus (this is especially important for sleep).
Open Morpheus from fully closed — on startup it queries the connected platform for any new data. If already open, close & re-open to refresh.
If sleep hours look wrong: finalize/sync sleep in the tracker’s app, or manually set sleep in the Morpheus Recovery Questionnaire.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Morpheus is not receiving the steps and sleep data directly from your wearable tracker device. It is receiving the data from the database that your tracker syncs its data to. This is what the Morpheus app is doing every time you open the Morpheus app from it being closed. It's calling the respective database that you have chosen (ie Garmin, Apple Health, Fitbit, Health Connect, etc) and is asking that platform for any new data that has not yet been sent to Morpheus.
Platform-specific steps & notes
Apple Health (iOS only)
In Morpheus: Menu → Settings → Tracking Settings → select Apple Health → SAVE. Then open the app’s Apple Health Health Access prompt and Allow the data you want to share.
Morpheus currently receives Sleep and Steps (you may enable additional permissions but only sleep/steps are used).
If another device/platform writes sleep to Apple Health, Apple may send multiple sleep intervals which can cause differences between Apple Health’s total and what Morpheus displays. You can:
Manually set sleep in the Recovery Questionnaire; or
Turn off sleep writes from all but one device/platform to Apple Health.
Tip: on an Apple Watch, manually end a sleep session (Control Center → Sleep) to force data to the Health app before opening Morpheus.

You could also choose to go directly into your Apple Health app and tap on Apps and Services. From there you can choose Morpheus and choose the data that you want to share with Morpheus.

As soon as "time asleep" has been finalized in Apple Health, you can open the Morpheus app and Apple Health will send us that data. Or if you already have the Morpheus app open, just close and reopen it to refresh the data. It should always match or be within a minute or so.

Health Connect (Android only)
Install Health Connect from Play Store if you don’t have it. In Morpheus: Menu → Settings → Tracking Settings → select Health Connect → SAVE. Then follow the Morpheus Home prompts to connect.
Choose which Health Connect data types to share. Note: activity data (distance, steps, calories) are grouped — enabling one enables them all.
Make sure the apps you use (e.g., Oura, Google Fit) are configured to write sleep/steps to Health Connect — Morpheus reads from Health Connect. You can inspect app read/write logs inside Health Connect to debug missing data.

You will be redirected to a screen to choose the data types from Health Connect that you want to share with Morpheus. You can choose "Allow all" or you can choose any of the 4 data types that we currently read from Health Connect. **Please note that "activity" data (distance, steps, calories) are all tied together. So if you want one of them you need to turn on all of them**

If you have not yet set up Health Connect to read from whichever app platforms you are using to track data such as sleep and steps, you will need to make sure that you do this. A list of of the apps that can send data to Health Connect can be found here.
Any app that you have on your phone that has a possible connection with Health Connect will be listed in the Health Connect app under App Permissions.
To give Health Connect access to read data from your app platform of choice (in this case Oura), you need to tap on it, and then choose the data that you want to allow. In this case, as long as you allow Health Connect to read Sleep and Steps from Oura and allow Oura to write that same data to Health Connect, Morpheus will then be able to pull in Sleep and Steps data from Oura via the Health Connect app.

Garmin (iOS & Android)
In Morpheus: Menu → Settings → Tracking Settings → select Garmin → SAVE. You’ll be redirected to log into Garmin Connect and authorize data sharing.
Morpheus reads Daily Health Stats (steps, sleep, calories). And Morpheus reads Activities which are workouts done with a Garmin device.
Ensure sleep is finalized in Garmin Connect before opening Morpheus (otherwise nothing will be sent).

You can also go into your Garmin Connect account and check to see if Morpheus Recovery is fully connected.
How and When does Morpheus receive data from Garmin?
When you open your Morpheus app from it being completely closed, part of the initial icon spinning on the screen is Morpheus calling Garmin for any updated data. If there is any new data that Garmin has not yet sent to Morpheus, it will be sent at that time and will be displayed in the Morpheus app on the Home Screen.
If Garmin Connect shows "No sleep detected", then there is obviously nothing to send to Morpheus so it will not appear in Morpheus.

As soon as "time asleep" and "sleep score" has been finalized in Garmin Connect, you can open the Morpheus app and Garmin will send us that data. Or if you already have the Morpheus app open, just close and reopen it to refresh the data.

Fitbit (iOS & Android)
In Morpheus: Menu → Settings → Tracking Settings → select Fitbit → SAVE. You’ll be redirected to sign in to Fitbit (or Google, if linked) and choose permissions.
Morpheus currently receives sleep and steps (steps are under Fitbit’s activity and exercise category).
Make sure Fitbit sleep is finalized / fully synced in the Fitbit app prior to opening Morpheus.

Troubleshooting
Data missing? Sync your device → close Morpheus completely → open Morpheus to force an update.
Sleep shows multiple intervals or totals differ: this is usually how Apple Health aggregates multiple device entries — either manually set sleep in Morpheus or limit sleep writes to one source. Morpheus only displays what it is sent from your 3rd party tracking system. If what you see in Morpheus is incomplete or incorrect, it's because your 3rd party platform has not fully sent the finalized data.
If a connected platform shows “No sleep detected” there’s nothing for Morpheus to receive. Confirm sleep recorded in the platform’s app.
FAQ
Q: Does Morpheus read heart rate or HRV from my wearable?
A: No — currently Morpheus reads sleep, steps, calories and distance from third-party platforms.
Q: My tracker isn’t listed — can Morpheus still get data?
A: Maybe — if your tracker can write to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android), Morpheus can usually read that data.
Q: When exactly does Morpheus pull data?
A: Morpheus checks the chosen platform when you open the Morpheus app from being completely closed. If new data exists on the platform, Morpheus will fetch it then. If you’re already in the app, close & reopen to refresh.
