Although not required to use Morpheus effectively, if you currently own an activity or sleep tracking device, it's important to set up your tracking properly to give Morpheus the most accurate picture of your daily stress load.

The Morpheus M5 does not track daily steps or daily sleep.

The Morpheus app can import daily steps and daily sleep from almost any device that you may already have that can record those things.

If you prefer not to track your daily steps or sleep, you can select “none” from the drop-down menu.  Please note that tracking is not required to get a recovery score, but the more information Morpheus collects, the more accurately he’ll be able to calculate your recovery and provide guidance for daily training zones.

The Morpheus app can connect directly with your Garmin or Fitbit account.

If you have a Garmin or Fitbit that you use for daily steps and sleep tracking, choose one of those options in the menu.

You will be asked to log in to your Garmin or Fitbit account to confirm that you want to allow Morpheus to access the data.

There are over 100 fitness tracking apps and wearables that import activity data into Google Fit and Apple Health, allowing Morpheus to access and report this activity.

If you are using Morpheus on an Apple (iOS) phone and you have an Apple Watch or any other device that can sync your daily steps and/or sleep quantity to Apple Health, then Morpheus can pull that data from that database.  You can also just use your phone itself as your tracking device.

If you are using Morpheus on an Android phone and you have a Samsung watch or any other device that can sync your daily steps and/or sleep quantity to Google Fit, then Morpheus can pull that data from that database.  You can also just use your phone itself as your tracking device.

You can access your Tracking Settings at anytime inside the Morpheus app.

So if you need to make any changes (like if you get a new Garmin watch to replace a Fitbit, for example) you can make that change in the app.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Morpheus is not pulling the steps and sleep data directly from your wearable tracker device.  It is pulling the data from the database that your tracker syncs its data to.  This is what the Morpheus app is doing every time you click on the TRACK tab.  It's calling the respective database that you have chosen (ie Garmin, Health Kit, etc) and is asking to pull in all updated data.

This is why you will see one or both of the following screens below when you open the app or anytime you click off of and back onto the TRACK tab.

To make sure that Morpheus has the most up to date sleep and steps data, you may need to manually sync your tracker with its database on a regular basis. This is a best practice if you track sleep with a wearable device so that Morpheus can have your sleep data prior to taking your daily recovery test.

PROCESS OUTLINE EXAMPLE OF THE ABOVE:  Wake up from overnight sleep -- Sync Fitbit watch to Fitbit app -- Open the Morpheus app and go to the TRACK screen -- Allow Morpheus to load your sleep and steps data -- Take Recovery Test.

NOTE:  There are times when your Tracker's server may be down which would prevent Morpheus from pulling in steps or sleep data.  When this happens you may see an error inside the Morpheus app, but know that it's not a Morpheus error, it's an error on the side of your tracker's server.  Usually those things are fixed within a few hours so there is no need to report it to us.
